Millions of people in the UK suffer from type-2 diabetes, a condition which causes the level of sugar in the blood to increase.
Symptoms include rapid weight loss, the need to urinate more often and extreme thirst.
Patients with the health problem can usually help manage their blood sugar levels with advice from their GP, sticking to a balanced diet and exercising.
Diabetes UK has compiled a list of breakfast, lunch and dinner ideas to help people manage their diabetes.
The website suggests one breakfast option could be two slices of avocado with a hardboiled egg.
Avocados are low in carbohydrates, which means they have little effect on blood sugar levels.
Another reason why they’re good for type-2 diabetes patients is that they’re high in fibre too.
The NHS recommends sticking to a healthy diet to manage diabetes.

“There’s nothing you can’t eat if you have type-2 diabetes, but you’ll have to limit certain foods.
“If you need to change your diet, it might be easier to make small changes every week.”
And the NHS advises to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and to not skip any meals.
