Actor and comic Chris Rock has revealed that he has tested positive for Covid-19. He shared the news on Twitter this morning, and took the opportunity to encourage his followers to get the vaccine if they hadn’t already.
“Hey guys I just found out I have COVID,” he wrote. “Trust me you don’t want this. Get vaccinated.”
Rock joins a number of celebrities to disclose that they have contracted the virus in recent weeks, and spoken publicly about how they have struggled with the severity of the illness. For example, rapper Nas recently shared that he got Covid in October last year, and that he had a “tough time” and the experience was “mentally and physically hard.”
Elsewhere, quarterback GOAT Tom Brady said that he had caught the virus, despite his team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, being only one of two in the NFL to have a 100 percent vaccinated roster. “I think it’s going to be challenging this year,” Brady told the Tampa Bay Times. “I actually think it’s going to play more of a factor this year than last year, just because of the way what we’re doing now and what the stadium is going to look like and what the travel is going to look like and the people in the building and the fans… It’s not like last year, although we’re getting tested like last year. It’s going to be, I definitely think guys are going to be out at different points and we’ve just got to deal with it.”
