7am Hot water with apple cider vinegar. My family hate the smell but I have it anyway.
7.30am My kids are having Nutrigrain, so I decide to join in even though it is not my usual breakfast. I follow it with curcumin and red krill oil.
11am I have a quick almond latte and peanut protein ball snack.
1pm Smashed avo with poached egg, goat cheese, tomato and a side of bacon on wholegrain bread.
5.30pm During the afternoon I have a sugar hit of mini choc chip cookies and a handful of almonds.
6pm Lean barbecued pork with vegies followed by a bowl of ice-cream.
8.30pm A handful of biscuits with some dip and two glasses of wine before heading off to bed.
Dr Joanna McMillan says…
Top marks for … Your honesty in sharing the sweet treats along with the healthy stuff. Your lunch is great, although as it’s a processed meat I’d swap the bacon for mushrooms or extra vegies. The lean meat with vegies for dinner is spot on.
If you keep eating like this you’ll … Help your kids to foster a relaxed, healthy relationship to food. Do keep an eye on the sweet treats, though – you have too many on this day for good health.
Why don’t you try … Confining apple cider vinegar to your salad dressings – as it is, you risk damaging your tooth enamel. Swap the cookies for dark chocolate and have just one scoop of ice-cream along with a lovely bowl of fresh berries or other fruit.
