“After reading of all the benefits of turmeric like helping to reduce inflammation, and boosting your immune system I’ve been on the shots now for a couple of years and it’s a great way to start your day instead of a coffee.
“It’s not one or the other sometimes I have both but rarely feel the need for a caffeine hit after one of these bad boys!
“Knowing I’ve just blasted 3 grams of raw, fresh turmeric into me each morning certainly sets me up for the day.”

Turmeric’s health benefits are believed to come from its main active ingredient, cur curcumin.
As Jonnie stated, curcumin has been shown to fight inflammation. Chronic low-level inflammation can play a role in some health conditions and diseases, such as heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.
Curcumin has also been shown to be a potent antioxidant that can neutralise free radicals.
Free radicals are unstable atoms that can damage cells, causing illness and ageing.
Curcumin has been studied as a beneficial herb in cancer treatment and been found to affect cancer growth and development.
It’s been shown to contribute to the death of cancerous cells, reduce the growth of new blood vessels in tumours, and reduce the spread of cancer.
There is also evidence it may prevent cancer from occurring in the first place, so even if you don’t have cancer, it may be worth taking up Jonnie’s morning habit.
