AJ Pritchard, 26, is best known for his role as a professional dancer in the BBC One TV show Strictly Come Dancing. But he’s now been thrust into the Welsh countryside as part of this year’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!. Ahead of the show, the dancer tested positive for coronavirus, despite having no symptoms.
AJ first burst onto the dancing scene after reaching the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2013.
He performed a dance routine with his professional dancing partner, Chloe Hewitt.
Just three years later, AJ joined the professional cast of Strictly Come Dancing.
Since then, he’s partnered Claudia Fragapane, Mollie King, Lauren Steadman, and Saffron Barker on the BBC One show.
Earlier this month, it was confirmed that AJ would be joining the line-up of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!.
But he tested positive for coronavirus just days before the new series was due to launch.
Thankfully, he later tested negative on two separate occasions after self-isolating with his girlfriend, Abbie Quinnen.
AJ admitted that he was surprised by the positive test, because he wasn’t showing any symptoms of COVID-19.

“Let’s get this out of the way. When I came into isolation, I tested positive for COVID early on,” he told the Mirror.
“Thankfully, I can say I’ve had two negative tests for coronavirus and I will definitely be going into the castle when it starts.
“I think the thing for me is I didn’t have any symptoms. It’s one of those scenarios in this crazy world we live in at the moment.
“I tested positive early on and knew I had more tests coming, I’m a very positive person, glass half full.”
Coronavirus is a deadly infection that’s killed more than 50,000 people in the UK.
It’s a highly infectious virus, meaning that it’s easily spread among the general public.
If you develop any of the key symptoms of COVID-19, you should get tested straight away.
You can get tested at a local drive-thru test site, a walk-in test site, or – on some occasions – by having a test sent to your home.
The three most common signs of coronavirus include a high fever, a new cough, and a change to your sense of smell or taste.
In the UK, if you develop any of these three signs, you’re eligible for a free coronavirus test.
Some patients have also reported hair loss, fatigue, dizziness, and even hiccups.
If you test positive for coronavirus, you should self-isolate at home for at least 10 days if you live alone, or 14 days if you live with other people.
